【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesasmall-scale(S4)testmethodfordeterminingthearrestorpropagationofacrackinitiatedinathermoplasticspipeataspecifiedtemperatureandinternalpressure.ThisInternationalStandardisapplicabletotheassessmentoftheperformanceofthermoplasticspipesintendedforthesupplyofgasesorliquids.Inthelattercase,aircanalsobepresentinthepipe.NOTEThistestmethodwasdevelopedusingmonolayerthermoplasticspipes.Itsapplicabilitytomulti-layer/coatedpipeshasyettobefullyconfirmedandisunderstudy.
