【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftotalsulfurinliquidpetroleumproductsinconcentrationsfrom0.01to0.4mass%(Note1).AspecialsulfateanalysisprocedureisdescribedinAnnexA1thatpermitsthedeterminationofsulfurinconcentrationsaslowas5mg/kg.Note1-ThecomparablelampmethodforthedeterminationofsulfurinliquefiedpetroleumgasisdescribedinTestMethodD2784.Forthedeterminationofsulfurinheavierpetroleumproductsthatcannotbeburnedinalamp,seethebombmethod(TestMethodD129)thequartztubemethod(IP63),orthehigh-temperaturemethod(TestMethodD1552).Thedirectburningprocedure(Section9)isapplicabletotheanalysisofsuchmaterialsasgasoline,kerosine,naphtha,andotherliquidsthatcanbeburnedcompletelyinawicklamp.Theblendingprocedure(Section10)isapplicabletotheanalysisofgasoilsanddistillatefueloils,naphthenicacids,alkylphenols,highsulfurcontentpetroleumproducts,andmanyothermaterialsthatcannotbeburnedsatisfactorilybythedirectburningprocedure.Phosphoruscompoundsnormallypresentincommercialgasolinedonotinterfere.Acorrectionisgivenforthesmallamountofacidresultingfromthecombustionoftheleadanti-knockfluidsingasolines.Appreciableconcentrationsofacid-formingorbase-formingelementsfromothersourcesinterferewhenthetitrationprocedureisemployedsincenocorrectionisprovidedinthesecases.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
