【摘要】:Organicaswellasinorganicchlorinecompoundscanproveharmfultoequipmentandreactionsinprocessesinvolvinghydrocarbons.Maximumchloridelevelsareoftenspecifiedforprocessstreamsandforhydrocarbonproducts.Organicchloridespeciesarepotentiallydamagingtorefineryprocesses.Hydrochloricacidcanbeproducedinhydrotreatingorreformingreactorsandthisacidaccumulatesincondensingregionsoftherefinery.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheorganicchloridesinaromatichydrocarbons,theirderivatives,andrelatedchemicals.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletosampleswithchlorideconcentrationsfrom1to25mg/kg.1.3ThistestmethodispreferredoverTestMethodD5194forproducts,suchasstyrene,thatarepolymerizedbythesodiumbiphenylreagent.1.4Indeterminingtheconformanceofthetestresultsusingthismethodtoapplicablespecifications,resultsshallberoundedoffinaccordancewiththerounding-offmethodofPracticeE29.1.5Organicchloridevaluesofsamplescontaininginorganicchlorideswillbebiasedhighduetopartialrecoveryofinorganicspeciesduringcombustion.Interferencefrominorganicspeciescanbereducedbywaterwashingthesamplebeforeanalysis.Thisdoesnotapplytowatersolublesamples.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,see7.3andSection9.
